Our adventure begins with an overnight flight to Scotland.
Day 2 // Edinburgh, Scotland
Welcome to Scotland, home to iconic castles, mythical tales and unbeatable hospitality. Visit Rosslyn Chapel, founded in 1446 as the Collegiate Church of St Matthew. Check into your hotel conveniently located in Edinburgh City Centre and spend some free time relaxing or exploring before gathering for a welcome dinner.
Day 3 // Edinburgh, Scotland
Explore the Palace of Holyrood House and royal gardens this morning. A local guide leads a city tour of Edinburgh, Scotland's historic, cultural, and political capital. Edinburgh Castle dominates the city skyline from its position on the Castle Rock. Tour the iconic fort and royal residence to learn about its important role in Scotland's national heritage.
Day 4 // Pitlochry, Scotland
An innocent looking farmhouse conceals the entrance to Scotland's underground Secret Bunker Museum. Tour the command center, broadcasting studio and dormitories that were built as a response to the Cold War. Visit Scotland's oldest university town of St. Andrews. Referred to as the Home of Golf, the Old Course at St Andrews Links is the oldest golf course in the world. Enjoy some free time walking the village's historic cobbled alleyways. A group dinner is included at our hotel in the beautiful burgh of Pitlochry this evening.
Day 5 // Pitlochry, Scotland
Enjoy spectacular views and charming Scottish villages as we journey through the majestic Highlands, a region renowned for its natural beauty, where we will embark on a cruise of Loch Ness, a 23-mile freshwater lake. Famous for its mythical monster known as “Nessie,” legendary tales and reported sightings of this large marine creature have attracted visitors from around the world. Set in splendid mountain scenery, stop for a whiskey distillery tour and tasting.
Day 6 // Belfast, Northern Ireland
A brief city tour of Glasgow is on the agenda this morning, then board the ferry for a crossing of the Irish Sea bound for Belfast. Step ashore the Emerald Isle in the capital city of Northern Ireland. Dinner is included tonight.
Day 7 // Belfast, Northern Ireland
This morning, we will travel north to drive along the legendary North Antrim Coast Road. In the small village of Bushmills, settled on the banks of the River Bush, you'll find the oldest working distillery in Ireland. Sample Irish Whiskey at Old Bushmills Distillery and learn about its fascinating history. Renowned for its hexagonal columns of layered basalt, Giant's Causeway was formed by a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago. Discover the legend that is close to the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 8 // Galway, Ireland
Titanic Belfast extends over nine galleries, drawing together full-scale reconstructions and innovative interactive features to explore the Titanic story. Travel to Ireland's west coast arriving in the harbor city of Galway. You'll have some free time to explore on your own before gathering for a group dinner.
Day 9 // Galway, Ireland
Embark on a scenic driving tour today where the landscape is a mixture of rivers, lakes, woodlands, rich meadowlands, and dramatic mountains. Visit a working sheep farm where the family has farmed for generations. During a sheepdog demonstration, we'll discover the dog herder's role as an integral part of the farming family. The story of Kylemore Abbey is a truly remarkable one. Built as a private home in the 1860s, the mansion is now a Benedictine monastery renowned for its exquisite chapel and Victorian walled garden.
Day 10 // Killarney, Ireland
One of Ireland’s most popular visitor experiences, the Cliffs of Moher, tower over the rugged west Clare coast. Walk the safe, paved pathways and view the incredible Cliffs while you enjoy the spectacular vistas over the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands. Journey across the majestic Shannon Estuary linking the iconic destinations of the Banner County of Clare to the Kingdom of Kerry. Enjoy a delightful dinner upon arrival at our hotel in Killarney.
Day 11 // Killarney, Ireland
Savor the sights of Ireland as we drive the picturesque loop known as the Ring of Kerry. Highlights include the island’s rugged coastline, charming villages and dramatic mountain passes. We’ll pause along the way to enjoy a hearty pub lunch topped off with a pint of Guinness.
Day 12 // Dublin, Ireland
This morning, depart for Dublin, Ireland’s capital city. Visit Blarney Castle built in 1446 by Dermot McCarthy. According to legend, kissing the Blarney Stone endows the kisser with the gift of gab. Rising dramatically from the plains of Tipperary is the Rock of Cashel. This historical site was the seat of kings and midieval bishops for 900 years and flourished until the early 17th century. Dinner is included this evening.
Day 13 // Dublin, Ireland
Begin the day with a tour of Dublin visiting local landmarks including O’Connell Street, Phoenix Park, Leinster House, Ha’penny Bridge, Georgian Houses and Dublin Doors. A self-guided tour at Christ Church includes an audio guide and access to the cathedral crypt which is one of the largest in the UK and Ireland. Situated in the heart of Dublin is the St. James Gate Brewery, we’ll tour the Guinness Storehouse. Walk through the brewing process, finishing with a complimentary pint of Guinness whilst overlooking Dublin city. Tonight’s farewell dinner will be in The Merry Ploughboy Pub, one of Dublin’s iconic traditional venues. Celebrate the conclusion of our tour with an evening of Irish food, music, song and dance.
