Day 1 // Overnight Flight
The adventure of a lifetime begins tonight as we board our flight and set off across the Atlantic toward the heart of Europe!
Day 2 // Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Welcome to Amsterdam! One of Europe’s most enchanting cities greets us with its iconic canals, charming architecture, and vibrant energy. A city tour brings it all to life before we gather this evening for a wonderful included dinner!
Day 3 // Set Sail
Today we board AmaWaterways’ luxurious AmaStella for an afternoon departure down the legendary Rhine River. Your accommodations include all gourmet meals while onboard. Regional wine, beer and soft drinks are complimentary with lunch and dinner. Also included, is your choice of daily
Day 4 // Utrecht, The Netherlands

Day 5 // Düsseldorf, Germany
Experience some of Germany’s rich history and culture. Perhaps explore the heart of Düsseldorf on a city tour,or choose a short journey to the magnificent city of Cologne for a guided walk through the enchanting Old Town and a visit to the awe-inspiring Cologne Cathedral, home to the legendary remains of the Three Kings.
Day 6 // Rüdesheim, Germany
Today’s cruise through the breathtaking Rhine Gorge — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is one for the memory books, with dramatic castles, steep vineyards, and sweeping river views unfolding around every bend. We arrive in the charming wine town of Rüdesheim am Rhein, where Riesling flows freely and the warm local atmosphere invites you to linger. Perhaps take a gondola ride above the Rhine, explore vineyard-covered hillsides, visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Cabinet, or treat yourself to the town’s famous Rüdesheimer coffee made with brandy and whipped cream. Day 7 // Ludwigshafen, Germany
Today offers a wonderful array of excursions into some of Germany’s most storied destinations. Wander the medieval streets of Heidelberg, marvel at its famous red sandstone castle, and discover the legendary Great Vat. For the more active traveler, the scenic Philosopher’s Path and the banks of the Neckar River offer a beautiful alternative. Or explore the UNESCO-listed Speyer Cathedral and the impressive medieval Old Gate in the historic city of Speyer — a day full of discovery no matter which path you choose!
Day 8 // Strasbourg, France
Bonjour and willkommen — welcome to Strasbourg, where French elegance and German charm blend beautifully into one of Europe’s most captivating cities! Wander the fairytale streets of La Petite France, gaze in wonder at the magnificent Strasbourg Cathedral and its famous astronomical clock, sip distinctive Alsatian wines, or explore the city’s lovely neighborhoods and the scenic Parc de l’Orangerie by bike.
Day 9 // Breisach, Germany
Our final port brings us to the magical Alsatian town of Colmar, where colorful half-timbered homes, winding canals, and stunning 16th-century architecture create a scene straight out of a storybook. Venture into the scenic Kaiserstuhl — a breathtaking volcanic landscape of rolling vineyards and panoramic countryside views — for a hike, a bike ride, or simply a moment to breathe it all in and savor the beauty of this remarkable region.
Day 10 // Home
We bid a fond farewell to Europe as our unforgettable Rhine River journey comes to a close in Basel. A transfer to Zurich Airport carries us homeward, hearts full of wonderful memories and minds already dreaming of the next great adventure.
